We're a small team on the Gold Coast who got tired of watching pods pile up in the bin every morning.

That's the honest version of how Motipod started. In 2020 we looked at our machine, looked at the bin, and did the maths. A household making two coffees a day throws away over 700 single-use pods a year. Some take up to 500 years to break down in landfill. That bothered us enough to do something about it.

So we built Motipod: reusable stainless steel pods that fit the Nespresso, Aldi K-fee, Lavazza and Vertuo machines people already own. No new machine. No complicated routine. Just fill, brew, rinse and reuse. Nothing in the bin.

Why we exist

First: to get as many single-use pods out of landfill as we can. Second: to get coffee drinkers out of pod jail. No more being locked into the same pre-filled capsules on repeat, paying a premium for coffee you didn't even choose.
